Cineclectic is a website promoting innovation in sound, image and web. They needed a rework of their logo and an overall identity design that conveyed their approach to technology. This site was designed for world music collective Afro Celt Sound System. The design took place during the release of the bands greatest hits album entitled Capture. The idea of space and geometry were influential on the appearance of the overall website. The minimalist visual style promotes the new album in a fresh and sophisticated way. absolute fringe festival __ print work for the fringe festival play soh

 

 

We designed leaflets, posters and a programme for the Fringe festival play SOH. "Soh is a play about love missed and love messed, love made and love broken." Ribbons were a strong visual used in the play, we used this combined with wire to show the grittier side of love which the play portrays. The result was a theatrical and colourful identity. This handbook was designed and printed for the Student's Union in IADT in 2009. It comprises an informative handbook in the front and a usable diary in the back. The poster was entered into a competition to design a new poster for Culture Night. The design concept was to catch the viewers eyes by being quiet and mysterious amoungst all the visual pollution of a busy city and to lull them in to read the poster. We tried to give the sense of mystery and adventure that the brief asked of. 01 02

No More Tape was a brochure designed and printed for IADT. It's curently being used to promote their MA in broadcast production for radio and televison. The Visual Practice is a unique initiative in art education: it provides a cohesive interdisciplinary programme in visual arts production, curation and criticism. For the brochure they wanted to capture an aspect of the course that would appeal to new comers. We chose the college surroundings as a point of interest after conducting a survey with the current first years. Using quotes and filtering the most important content to give the potential students something nice to hold but supplying the right information. 01 02 03 04 05 06

This was a proposed leaflet designed for the Modelmaking course in IADT. The brochure was to be used to encourage young people to find out more about the course. The design of the brochure shows the variety and hands-on nature of the course. It's bright, clear and eye catching as well as being informative. 01 02

national film school __ proposed identity for the NFS

 

 

This was a propsed indentity for the new Film School at IADT. The mark is built on the gaffer tape used during filming and highlights the variety of behind the scenes work taught on the course. rocky horror v american psycho __ handmade book

 

 

This was a response to a project set by the International Society of Typographic Designers. The brief was to compare two scenes from cinema and interperate them typographically. We chose two scenes where the leading insane characters are introduced, Frankenfurter in The Rocky Horror and Patrick Bateman in American Psycho. The contast between these characters was explored typographically and through the paper and format used. 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09
